May 30 (SAMN) Colombo Additional Magistrate Ajith Anawaratna Thursday remanded a private medical practitioner till June 9 for allegedly performing illegal abortions at a house at Ruwanpura, Aggona, Rajagiriya. Dengue hits Colombo city |
May 30 (DN) There is a 95 per cent increase in the number of dengue cases in the Colombo city alone, the Public Health Department of the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) revealed. Teachers against increased school hours |

Two children killed in stabbing |
May 31 (BBC) Two children have been stabbed to death and a baby left seriously injured in an attack at a home in south London. A five-year-old boy, a girl aged four and a six-month-old girl were found with stab wounds at an address in Carshalton on Friday night.
