CPC rejects 13,000 mt. oil cargo over octane content

Dec 19 (Island) The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) last week rejected a 13,000 mt. cargo of 90 octane petrol on quality grounds but yesterday assured there will be no shortage in the market. "We have adequate stocks in our storage terminal to meet demand until new stocks arrive," authoritative sources said. It is understood that the octane content was below the 90 level specified.
