MRI ready to face E-coli outbreak

June 17 (Island) The Medical Research Institute assured the public that it was prepared to face an E-coli outbreak if it occurred. Co-op Society for media personnel

June 17 (Island) Minister Johnston Fernando inaugurated a Cooperative Society on Tuesday for media personnel at the Ministry auditorium. He formed a committee from among the media personnel present to draw up a draft constitution. June 17 (DPA) Six people including a child were killed when a motorized tricycle crashed into a parked vehicle in central Sri Lanka early Friday, police said. The driver had apparently fallen asleep on the way back from a pilgrimage before crashing in Mwathagama, 110 kilometres east of the capital, killing himself and all his passengers.
