A'pura calm after floods |
Dec 27 (DN) Flood waters in Anuradhapura are receding. Anuradhapura District Irrigation Director Lalith de Alwis said that except the Huruluwewa tank all other 10 major tanks in the district have been spilling. The water spilling level of these reservoirs have been on the decrease by a few inches but the spilling level of the Mahawilachchiya reservoir has been on the increase, Alwis said.
