Collapsed sewerage line causes another road cave-in |
May 3 (Island) Another cave-in, on a major road in Colombo, occurred on Wednesday evening at Horton Place near the Military Hospital. The Deputy Director Engineering (Central Road Maintenance Unit) of the Colombo Municipal Council, Mrs. T. D. Abeysuriya, said that the cave-in was small in nature, near a manhole and did not affect the flow of traffic. She said that it was due to the collapse of a sewerage line and that CMC workers were attending to the repairs from last morning.
