Inflation dips to all-time low levels
Apr 1 (FT) Inflation for the month of March continued its decelerating trend with the point to point dipping to an all-time low level of 0.1% while its annualised average followed suit as well to record 2.50%. NSB boosts pre-tax profit by 360% to record Rs. 10.5 b
Apr 1 (FT) NSB recorded the highest-ever profit before tax of Rs. 10.5 billion for the year ended 31 Dec, 2014, an increase of 360% from previous year. The net profit after tax was recorded at Rs. 6.9 billion, a 480% increase. The bank mobilised Rs. 59.4 billion of deposits during the year and the deposit base of the bank recorded a growth of 10.4%. Savings deposits accounted for 44% of the total mobilisation, which is a significant improvement in its deposit mix.

Tsunami Relief Funds swindled in Ampara
