BOP deficit surges to US$3.6bn in Nov 2021

Wildlife Minister orders probe into harassment of tusker
Jan 25 (DM) Minister C.B. Rathnayake has ordered an investigation into the harassment of a tusker at the Yala National park. Rathnayake said that he had ordered the Wildlife Department to conduct the investigation and submit a report. A tusker was harassed by safari jeep operators in Yala yesterday when the animal came face-to-face with some vehicles along its path.
