Water in reservoirs enough to generate power for 10 more days

Mar 26 (Island) Public Utilities Commission (PUCSL) Chairman, Janaka Ratnayake yesterday said that the power crisis would worsen if the catchment areas did not receive rains soon. �Power can only be generated for 10 days with the available water in the reservoirs�, Ratnayake said, adding that the Kerawalapitiya power plant had stopped operating as furnace oil and diesel were not available.
