Jun 16 (CT) Ragama Police arrested an individual who had managed to escape during the chaotic events of the devastating 2004 tsunami. The 54-year-old fugitive, previously identified as an inmate of the Negombo Prison, was arrested in Ragama on Wednesday. He was scheduled to appear before the Welisara Magistrate yesterday. The suspect and his brother were initially arrested in 2001 in connection with a murder in Ragama. Following their arrest, both siblings were remanded in custody.

Increase in illegal firearms?
