UNP blames police, Motor Traffic Dept. corruption for increase in fatal accidents

22-year-old mother dies after illegal abortion

Apr 26 (AD) A 22-year-old mother of two from Aluthgama in Dikoya has died following an illegal abortion carried out in the Hatton area. The woman had visited an abortion center at Kotagala in Hatton recently and had later been admitted to the Dikoya Hospital due to a complication during the procedure. Apr 26 (AD) A factory owner in Kiribathgoda has been sentenced to 7 years rigorous imprisonment by the Colombo High Court after he was found guilty of raping a 34-year-old hearing-impaired woman nearly 10 years ago. Overseas Realty finally reaping
