Encouraging start for Lions in Sri Lanka |
Feb 9 (SKY) The England Lions side warmed up for the start of their Unofficial Test series in Sri Lanka with a couple of promising performances, as they drew both of their two practice games. Durhams Mark Wood who spoke to DEC before the tour impressed heavily with the ball, taking a five-wicket haul in the first game against the Sri Lanka A Emerging Players side. Unfortunately for Wood, that game in Columbo proved to be his first and only game of the tour, as he headed home on

Jaffna An Exemplary City |
Feb 10 (SL) The people who stay in post-war Jaffna for a few days can witness not only the past havocs taken place during the war, but also the extent of the post-war rebuilding and rehabilitation that continues to take place in the region. But for me one strong feature in post-war Jaffna city is the discipline on the roads in contrast to what we experience daily in our Capital City of Colombo and its suburbs.
