Sri Lanka inflation rises to 69.8% in September

Sep 30 (EN) SL�s inflation in Colombo accelerated to 69.8% in Sept 2022 from 64.3% a month earlier, data from the state statistics office showed amid the worst currency crisis in the history of the island�s intermediate regime central bank. Sep 30 (AD) Four passengers have been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) on suspicion of trying to smuggle in a stock of gold into the country this morning (30).
